ECOFACT has carried out a range of bird surveys, including breeding bird surveys using methodologies such as the Common Bird Census (CBC) and Breeding Bird Survey (BBS). We also carry out bird surveys for a range of specific species of bird, such as Hen Harrier at proposed wind farm sites. In addition we undertake surveys for wintering and non-breeding species based on methodologies such as the Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS). Such surveys have included surveys of wintering Whooper Swans and Greenland-white fronted geese at proposed wind farms in the Irish midlands.
