The company was established in 1999 by Dr. William O’Connor, a senior environmental scientist who had previously worked for the Irish Electricity Supply Board (ESB). ECOFACT employs permanent full time senior environmental consultancy staff, field ecologists and temporary seasonal staff. All permanent senior environmental scientists are chartered members of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM), the Society of Biology (SOB) and the Institute of Fisheries Management (IFM).
