The Ecofact team is involved in a number of research projects in the natural environment; focusing on our key areas of aquatic ecology and fisheries. Our research is based on in-house commitments to furthering ecological knowledge and data-gathering; as well as undertaking formal research projects in conjunction with private and statutory authorities.
Research on Annex II listed Aquatic Species
Ecofact Environmental Consultants have been commissioned with preparing a number of national surveys for Annex II listed aquatic species by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, and also bodies such as the Electricity Supply Board (ESB). We have carried out a number of catchment wide studies for lamprey species, as well as a national study for white-clawed crayfish in Irish lakes.
