There is increasing evidence wind turbines have the potential to have significant negative impact on bat populations in the UK and Ireland. Bat Conservation Ireland consider that that bat mortality due to wind turbines is a serious potential issue in Ireland, and it is clear that bats and their habitats need to be considered carefully during the planning, construction and operation of wind farms.

Bat surveys: All Irish bat species have been known to use buildings to some extent, with some species are more reliant on buildings than others. Bats have adapted to living in a wide range of man-made structures, including churches, old mansions, bridges, ice houses, modern houses and farm buildings, among others

We provide surveys for amphibian species such as the common frog (Rana temporaria) and the smooth newt (Triturus vulgaris), and also for the Common Lizard (Zootoca vivipara)
