Ecofact services in the marine environment encompass habitat and biotope surveys of the coastal zone, the intertidal zone and the subtidal zone. All survey, sampling and impact assessment methodologies are according to current Irish and international protocol and are carried out by Ecofact staff.

Our company has a long established reputation of being experts in the provision of fisheries and aquatic ecology assessments for the freshwater environment in particular. No other company in Ireland has the range of fisheries and aquatic ecology expertise that we have inhouse.
We work extensively for state agencies including the National Parks and Wildlife Service, Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Inland Fisheries Ireland, and the Environmental Protection Agency in this field. We also work extensively in the private sector, and our skills are particularly sought after in relation to the design, assessment and development of small hydroelectric power schemes in both Ireland and the UK.
