Bird Surveys Ireland and UK: ECOFACT is the leading independent provider of bird surveys and ornithological impact assessments in Ireland. Designing and implementing bird surveys and preparing Ornithological Impact Assessments (OIA) are our key area of expertise. All survey results are recorded following accepted international standards and protocol. We are the leading independent company in Ireland that provides these services.

ECOFACT has carried out a range of bird surveys, including breeding bird surveys using methodologies such as the Common Bird Census (CBC) and Breeding Bird Survey (BBS). We also carry out bird surveys for a range of specific species of bird, such as Hen Harrier at proposed wind farm sites. In addition we undertake surveys for wintering and non-breeding species based on methodologies such as the Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS). Such surveys have included surveys of wintering Whooper Swans and Greenland-white fronted geese at proposed wind farms in the Irish midlands.
